I like the wheels on the first one. They’re different than your typical modified Honda.

i had a black manual 97 cx. I installed a tach, installed a p-flow and blacked out the rear lights. I should of kept that car, but wanted a new 2003 protege5 more at the time.

A civic hatchback with 3 kids, 2 still in baby seats.
If I was gonna go back to small, it would be another 2010-2013 manual awd SX4.

Just wondering which did you enjoy driving more?

I think my favorite car so far would actually be the SX4
150 hp awd manual in the size of a 91 civic hb. (size not weight)
My mazda was really fun to drive too, it had really good handling, better than the SX4 since it was way lower.
Civics, on the other hand, were fun to drive, I think the light feeling of my 91 dx hatch was better than the 97. the 97 felt YUGE compared to the 91.
they were all fun to drive. the Mazda gave me rust and electrical problems, but I would have to say more enjoyable than the civics before it.
then I found manual AWD is the SX4. Boy winters became so, so much fun. sideways at every intersection by just pressing harder on the gas while turning.

Awwww yeah rally driving on the road must feel awesome. Good to know somehow the long, much heavier and underpowered Protege5 was funner to drive than the Hondas.
I’ve recently taken an interest in Hondas and all things VTEC. For quite a while I thought I had given up fail-wheel-drives and I’ve never been fond of the demographic of Honda owners...but I really like the idea of revving the piss out of an engine past 8,000 RPM. But apparently so does a lot of other people, Vtec Hondas and Integra GS-Rs, all come with some huge tax of their own. It’s not drift tax that’s for sure, but something just as bad. $6k for a half decent GS-R? It’s a little ridiculous.
I’m still on the hunt for some $3-4k car that avoids any bro-tax yet still is an absolute hoot.

I only did that when no one was around.. never when any cars were even close to me(not on purpose) that and empty parking lots.
My civics were not VTECs, and a CX was base model a manual without a tach, crank windows, no A/C and no rear wiper.
I installed a tach under the fan controls facing me. My knuckles barley missed it every time i shifted in 5th
when I bought it it was still under warranty, and brought it to the dealer to inspect it. they did all the gaskets, when I gave it as a trade in about 3-4 years later for the mp5 there was oil around # 2 spark plug so i’m guessing it was due for another head gasket job.
